01 · What is Ambient IoT

Tiny, low-cost sensors embedded into everyday objects — continuously sensing, continuously reporting.

Conventional IoT is heavy: rechargeable batteries, cellular modems, SIM cards, fixed gateways, ongoing service contracts. Ambient IoT discards all of it. Devices harvest energy from the environment, ride opportunistic networks, and ship at a price low enough that you can deploy millions — and forget they exist.

From a printed sensor to a working platform.

Ambient IoT was founded to solve one problem — how to track the things that matter at the granularity that matters, without the cost and friction of traditional IoT. The platform has since found two distinct commercial domains.

StiknTrak partnered with Mediport to bring ambient sensing into pharmaceutical cold chain. Every vial, every shipment, monitored end-to-end — temperature excursions caught before damage, not after.

As the platform matured, a second brand spun out to apply ambient sensing to molecular sensing and control. Moseley begins with ethylene management in the fresh produce cold chain — the Climacteric™ platform pairing the autonomous E-Aegis sentinel, distributed E-Nose Label per-carton sensing, the E-Sentinel machine-learning model, and the E-MCP modulated climacteric protection device. Detect. Predict. Remediate. Semiconductor contamination and pharma cold chain are adjacent extensions of the same molecular sensing platform.

Moseley is the molecular sensing and control platform for ethylene, contamination and other high-value gases. Beginning with ethylene management in the fresh produce cold chain — an autonomous sentinel that detects rate-of-change ethylene, predicts the ripening trajectory, and remediates before spoilage cascades. Semiconductors, pharma and other controlled environments are adjacent extensions of the same molecular platform.
